I am a big fan of Katy. I loved all her albums including the supposed “flops” like Smile and Witness. I was excited for 143 although I wasn’t super impressed with the singles. I especially disliked how Women’s World was promoted, but I didn’t let that faze my excitement for the album. I am so disappointed. The lyrics in 143 are almost juvenile and soulless. The only one with some meaning is All the Love. Wonder is ok, but could’ve been done better. The beats are not catchy enough to stay in my head, the features can barely save some of the songs. Her albums always had some meaningless songs and also some great meaningful songs to round everything out. This album is just missing something.
