I don’t mind plot twists, but the reveal that Theo was behind it all felt jarring. The dual timelines, designed to feel simultaneous, left me disoriented when the truth came out. It made the story hard to follow and ultimately unsatisfying. Alicia, the central character, was barely fleshed out—we never truly got to know her, not even how she looked. The same goes for Theo. Overall, the lack of depth and clarity made it a frustrating read, and I wouldn’t recommend it. What could have been a gripping psychological thriller ended up feeling like a convoluted mess.
But one thing I wanna say about this novel is that it boils down to a powerful truth: unresolved trauma doesn’t just haunt the one who carries it, it ripples outward, leaving destruction in its wake. If you don’t confront your pain, you risk damaging every life you touch.
