It's okay. It lacks any of the vibrant colour, claustrophobic atmosphere & sinister camp overtures of the Lynch adaptation (which has grown into a huge cult classic in its own right & is loved by many).
Whilst being more faithful to the book than Lynch's masterpiece, It has more of a TV mini-series vibe rather than packing the punch of a cinematic powerhouse.
To repeat, it's okay. But it won't go down as a classic.
