Characters were one dimensional. Non-stop cruel and unrealistically lethal villain. The abused wife was portrayed as constantly petrified, momentarily clever but then immediately becomes clueless and stupid. This movie was torture to watch and was way too LONG!

Good movie, but, in all fairness, the credits should have STARTED with the Beatles whose lasting music was what made the movie so enjoyable. It seemed kind of "cheesy" to everyone in the world who worked on the movie and to just throw the Beatles' credits as an afterthought at the very end. But definitely worth seeing and hearing!

It was poor science fiction, depressing and boring, and made no sense. Brad Pitt's acting was emotionless and gave the impression that his character had flat affect at all times. It's sad that this movie was made when there is so much excellent science fiction that has never been made into a movie. Finally, it is not enough that movie tickets and prices for popcorn and soda make unconscionable profits for the movie industry which are making fewer and fewer people able to afford a trip to the movie theater. But the greedy movie industry makes us endure ever longer commercials.
