My wording on the new matrix is that it's a good movie. However, in my opinion, nothing beats the older matrix. Even tho it has terrible CGI and all the little bells and whistles are not in it like nowadays. It is still one of the greatest films of all time in the Matrix storyline. This movie was great to watch especially with all the new characters in the story and to see more about what happened at the end of the last Matrix. However, joining the two movies together looked horrible because l didn't know if the producers were going to continue the Matrix and just smooshing the old movie and the new looked horrible in my view. So l advise you to watch the first matrix and all the others to sort of build up the storyline and to get a sense of what's happening so you don't end up confused. Then finally watch the fourth instalment of the matrix and judge it from there.
