Formulaic, cliche, and not very funny. The trailer is better than the movie.

For anyone who loves the many renditions of A Christmas Carol, this telling of the story’s origins and the personal complexities of its great author is something of a work of art. Highly recommended.

A bit like the classic Alien movie, but with none of the suspense, acting, originality or production-value to back it up. Whoever managed to get such good cast members involved is clearly a talented sales person.
