A 66 page essay, first published in 1940, describing the two paths of Germany, the fatal one of the Nazi conquests or one which describes, in many ways, the European Union of the present era. The essay describes Germany as departing from its' greatness, and the reluctant necessity of France and Great Britain to stop Germany's course. The essay looks kindly on the great values of all three nations and of the virtues of the Empire of Great Britain.
