I loved this film. I was absorbed for entire length. Brilliant actors, great fun, sad, funny, and satisfying , if slightly implausible end.

An incredibly privileged and seemingly isolated person who has had a very tragic life. Then he compounds all his problems by humiliating his closest family, and subjecting them to an exposure that’s so personal and embarrassing I find this book, for all its earnestness, unpleasant, inward looking, isolationist and selfish.
Thank goodness the Queen and Prince Phillip aren’t here to witness this.
Please don’t waste your money on this book.

Terribly unfunny. There’s an element of truth, but what’s funny and cohesive humour at work doesn’t translate in to the book or TV series. I felt disheartened, bored and manipulated.
NHS is way from perfect, but it doesn’t deserve this..
