I don’t get it. I am completely flabbergasted by all the great reviews this show is getting. I’m a mega-huge Batman fan and this show is boring me to tears. It’s so derivative of so many things. The Penguin in “Gotham” was far more interesting and multi-levels better than this typical gangster character. Like the people who loved “Joker”, these spinoff shows are for people who never read a Batman comic and think they’re seeing something cool and unique. Just like with the Riddler, I get the feeling the screenwriter wrote a typical script beforehand and then contorted it later to fit some kind of Batman motif. Watch “Gotham” to see a great Penguin. Actually, watch even Burgess Meredith.

I don’t care about all these bad reviews. They’re all wrong. This movie was definitely worth watching. It’s a seminar in great direction, cinematography and they should show it in film scoring classes at the University on how a movie should be scored. The music is perfect and creates the whole mood of the film with the great lighting and direction. The movie is great. Don’t listen to anyone except me! I’m not even a Richard Gere fan but he was great. Wish I could have seen it in a theater when it came out. The ending song was awesome.
