Hubby and I have binge-watched the entire series over the last very cold week in South Africa!
Needless too say we enjoyed it immensely. We were both fortunate to grow us split between city and farm life, thus we really appreciate everything in the series.
Hubby was fortunate to have his experience with riding horses in the mountains and vellies of the Eastern Cape. Unfortunately I only had four horses that only drew hore-carts, but I loved them more that anything.
Unfortunately Hubby had to move too bording school and my family eventually lost the farm that was ours for at least 4 generations after 8 years of drought had broken everything up.
I think I know why John fights the way he does, if I wasn't only 13 I would have found a way too keep our land.
The new owner had no respect for the land or our history. He removed the headstones from the family graveyard and plowed it over for feed for his cattle.
We are the custodians of this world, and if we keep on killing her, she'd just kill right back.
