Poor acting, poor flow, no effort made to make the audience feel any kind of connection to any of the characters. Just blah. I can see how the screenplay’s premise could grab the attention of a producer and/or director. But the interpretation fell flat. No juice.

This was a beautifully acted and well-written film. The horror of war without a Disney ending apparently rubs a lot of reviewers the wrong way. Wars scar people for life. It’s a fact. Remember also that most Afghans despised the Taliban which initially were defeated but came back later even stronger. No matter why we are at war—it is ALWAYS HELL.
