I was really looking forward to watching this show, purely because it was an HBO show. But my wait was met with a disappointment. The show tries it's level best to show us the other side of the entertainment industry. The politics and business that meddles with an artists personal touch in their work and instead want to make a commercially successful product. The show is a disaster not because of this theme. This theme could've been handled better is written better. But the writing is absolute trash. The Weeknd's character is supposed to be a very hot man and after it's confusing first few episodes it is made clear that we are supposed to find his methods and ways very arousing. But all he is a very creepy dude who has a rat tail(of course a rat tail!). Lily's character is the mainstream artist who somehow falls for the rat tail, for reasons unknown to normal brained human beings. This show is HBO at it's worst. The sexual scenes doesn't even make any sense. So even that's bad. For those who call this show a "gem", kindly unalive yourself, thanks.
