Stagnant, uninspired story which I'm honestly not surprised by. The entire schtick for the first season was to see what's truly outside and we saw what was outside. It hardly plays to the the conspiracy angle that the show tries to push incessantly because the conspirators were actually right at least in the short term.
Now even the dystopia is a just a gimmick and no character has any real depth or value because it's not about one silo but a whole bunch of them and you can't help but feel that it's going to get silly with more and more people throwing tantrums and getting their asses handed by some men in cheap black armour and football helmets. I
I don't care about the book(s)-- if I wanted to read, I'd read-- but I'm not about to give a live action series a free pass just because some people liked the book.
The second season has nothing after 3 episodes that can be incentive for me to carry on watching.
Typical pretend deep-state/thriller/mystery/high-fiction/dystopian nonsense that relies on one single event occuring (in this case that chick going out of the silo) and then just falls flat because there really is no story to tell. Bleh
