It's not a popcorn flick. The cars in the 50's didn't crumple when they crashed, part of the reason I think people think the accidents look unnatural, knowing micheal mann's attention to detail, I think it looks this way for a reason. The driving scenes are amazing, but this isn't "rush", a movie about racing, it's about a racer that starts a car company so don't expect all out action.
