Ever wonder what Jason Vorhees did in between kills? Then this movie is for you.
No normal things in these types of movies. No music, no jump scares, no teens having sex here. Just insane violence, and the director puts you into the shoes and mind of the killer.
Great movie that occasionally has pacing issues, but is unique in that it brings a pov view of the killer for most of the movie. It covers even the mundane activities of a killer in the woods which is pretty fascinating IMO.
Aside from that aspect, the film an interesting dichotomy of beautiful and scenic nature juxtaposited with a brutal and violent vengeful spirit. The kills in this movie are next level and very imaginative, but it doesn't build a ton of suspence, it approaches it almost like a silent documentary. Interesting and enjoyable.
