Here is what smacked me 10 hours after watching the film.
Bill Furlong missed the opportunity we all must remember we have when we find ourselves in a moral dilemma with another human being. He could have asked the Mother Superior if she could see God's Hand in putting the two of them on a collision path. Two souls were being tested. The struggle needs to be shared.
