This is the first book in this series that I did not enjoy at all. I feel like both the main characters in this book were assassinated by the author. This book establishes Robin, who was once naive, intelligent and kind, as a greedy, selfish individual whose relationship with every single other character is her lying, all she does is lie to everyone she loves about everything. Strike has been whittled down to a selfish womanizer with no brains and decides he wants to pursue a woman in a committed relationship. Honestly the mystery is good, story line is good but so distracting. I love flawed characters but ugh these two main characters are deplorable now.
