Unlearn what has been drilled into your head since you were young- that all money made is subject to federal, state, and local income taxes, and at the same time learn the facts and law about the very limited scope of the federal income tax. Once you have a solid understanding, file accurate, educated tax returns and keep what is rightfully yours, which is likely 100% of all that you earn.
