The writing is poorly done. We haven’t gotten a truly exciting story out of the new Star Wars (outside of Rogue One and some of the Mandalorian) and Obi-Wan is no different. The acting isn’t wonderful honestly and most of the time you’re just left wondering if Star Wars will ever be like it was again. They could have told so many interesting stories with this series, but they seem to prioritize “the message” over an actually believable and interesting plot. If you love the world and “magical” feel of Star Wars, you probably won’t like this. The early main antagonist is also poorly written and very underwhelming. Part of what makes Vader such a frightening villain is his ominous lack of emotion and his incredible and obvious skill. The third sister lacks both. Easily the worst villain in Star Wars cinematic history.
