I enjoyed reading the books but I've struggled to watch the series and the film. Uthred is the hero of the story but I cringe everytime he makes a mistake and loses everything (again), everytime snatching defeat from the jaws of victory !

It's a great idea for a film but leaves you wanting to see what the effects of the events are. For a long film I was left feeling disappointed.
