I was really looking forward to the show. Unfortunately, it's nothing more than a soap opera which just happens to focus on F1. It's far too much about personalities and melodramatic "personal story lines", and far too little about F1 itself. What I would LOVE to see is a series that gets into the actually interesting stuff--how cars and designed and built, how they're tested and refined, and so on. I'd be MUCH more interested in a show that explained some of the nerdy science stuff about chassis design and materials; engine design and construction; how fuels, lubricants, and fluids are designed and work; all the R&D around tires; all the telemetry that goes back and forth, etc, etc, etc. Tell me about the logistics of moving from race to race. Give me a real "behind the scenes" understanding of F1. Unfortunately, this show does virtually none of that. There are some gorgeous visuals and some amazing race footage, but overall it's a major disappointment.
