Incredibly boring mess. The actors are sleep walking and the characterisations annoying. Tim Robbins is miscast. This movie was dull but the visuals are somewhat pretty. How can it be that De Palma could make such a snorefest. I literally wanted to scream at the TV and tell everyone to wake up. The only so-called tense moment comes when the ship is damaged by meteorites but De Palma manages to make even this sequence an exercise in bored filmmaking. Even the onboard computer sounded bored. A disappointment from start to finish.

Mindless entertainment but somewhat watchable and entertaining. Just don't expect Hitchcock levels of intrigue and suspense and you'll be OK.
