I could not get into the book years ago and was very keen to see the TV series. Beautifully filmed and acted but hard to follow. Now I am rereading the book and find surprising differences in the layout and characters. It’s nice to be able to visualise the scenery while reading however. The author who did the screenplay must have been under pressure to stage it differently for better commercial value? Amazing book. Disappointing TV series .
