I stumbled upon GameFace on Hulu and found the series so hysterical that I watched it in its entirety in just two days. After a thirsty hunt to discover the release date of the third season, I was terribly disappointed to find that the series had been cancelled after only two seasons. Seriously?! Just as Marcella begins to experience an upswing in life's ups and downs, it is decided that she has no more growing to do? How ludicrous is that?! Considering that healthy relationships (romantic or not) and careers hardly maintain an upward trajectory without combatting a barrage of challenges on a perpetual basis throughout their lifespan, there is so much still to do with this series! After all, coming through challenges, perhaps a bit worse for wear but still in tact, with a sense of humor, and a better clue about who really got yo back is what helps to cultivate healthy self awareness and to fortify good careers and lasting relationships. Duh?! There's plenty left for the show's characters to sort out along these lines. I hope that GameFace creators find a network with the foresight to support a smart, well-crafted show with a refreshingly funny and imperfect female lead and supporting cast for at least a few more seasons. The show has so many more laughs and surprises to offer its viewing audience! #bringGameFacebackyesterdayplease!
