Is it only me or did anyone else also get reminded about Kalank…the movie! All opulence no soul….I do love SLB but looks like he is stuck with a type of genre, and stuck with all the investments that go into opulent sets, jewellery and clothes…that he had to do paisa wasooli by making Heeramandi. I thought sonakshi stole the show from Manisha even, except Richa was a power house in her brief appearance. And what was with the song sequences, either you tell them to move their lips or not…this was handled so badly, it took away from the authenticity and lack of voice match…not expected of you Mr. SLB of the attention to detail fame! The screenplay is a bit mis-handled, too much going on that leaves you confused. Dialogues and shairi were below average. But then it’s a series, not a cinema release, I watched and enjoyed it for the cast and sets and costume. If you want anything more…don’t waste your time! 3.5/5
