Genuinely a great, funny, and heart-felt movie. Outstanding writing alongside a great cast. Bryan Cranston fulfills the movie with his nonchalant humor, alongside Carell and Fishburne with their very devolved characters. Through their amazing discourse which is both hilarious and dramatic, the plot’s and pacing doesn’t pail to be boring at all throughout the film. The early 2000’s issues of war insulates the heavy loss of a father who’s lost his son as his two past mates helps him cope and guide him toward a better life; all of which isn’t done in an embarrassingly cringe way, but rather done in a sleek, entertaining, and life-encompassing way which challenges the viewer to appreciate the current relationships and times their living in way.
Overall, a great movie to observe the lasting relationship amongst 3 veterans who’ve experienced hardship in the past, which is observed through their present actions during current day (early 2000’s) doings.
