It's very good, but it has some very jarring flaws
Button response can be a little clunky at times, sometimes you spam inputs (light attack) on horseback and an extra attack will go off than what you expected
Dungeons have a formula and start to feel the same - pull lever, unlock boss gate. Dark cave, boss is down the ramp and past the pack of mobs, and they're pretty generic boss fights as well.
A lot of the loot in the world is also not that useful, so exploration for items isn't that spectacular. Sometimes you'll find mushrooms and arrows on world corpses, and be looking forward to something like a sword. Less junk would've been nice
Everything also stars to feel a bit repetitive after a while, monsters are the same and some areas the monsters are too strong so you spend the entire time on horseback looting and running instead of engaging in fights
Some monsters are just not fun to fight either, not everything is worth learning the attack pattern for, ie. Weird monsters you'll only ever fight once or twice, but they go berserk and there's no counterplay other than attack block, so some fights are just tank tests and it's not that enjoyable, it just leaves a sour taste in your mouth when you die to something like this
And the thing I hate most, is that there's a specific height at which you fall from, you can't double jump, this is the game saying you messed up and you die as a result. But just before that point, you can double jump, except you'd think you could break your fall right before you land with your second jump, no you will die based on the total distance fallen. How does this make any sense? If I can jump right before I land, I just broke momentum, and I will only have fallen a slight distance, so why am I dying as if I didn't just jump a second time?
If any of that stuff sounds like it will bother you, then you won't enjoy this game. Asides that, it's one of the best open world games I've played
