Gris was my first experience with Nomada Studio games and I was hooked, line and sinker. Many of the game aspects I loved in Gris are also in Neva - the beautiful and transformative visuals, the melancholic beauty of the world, the cozy music, and the satisfaction of seeing the world change around you as you complete the puzzles.
I will say that I do agree with the other reviews about more advanced gameplay as compared to Gris. PERSPECTIVE - Neva is still one of the easiest games I've ever played, but there are some difficult jump mechanics and puzzles that took me many tries to get right. I don't love when I have to Google how to solve puzzles, but I only had to pick up my phone a handful of times throughout the game.
I do relate to the story of Gris a bit more, but the world of Neva was still incredibly captivating. It's a satisfying follow up game, and I enjoyed the added dynamic of Neva as the wolf companion.
