It has a lot of repeated bosses and enviornments (all of the catacombs areas look almost exactly the same for instance), lazy naming system for some items, and somehow almost all of the NPC invaders are dex blood builds. They very oddly put a save point before some bosses and not before others. There are also very unintuitive parts of some quest lines where the NPC appears in one of several locations and one has to look it up on the internet to actually finish the questline sometimes. Another major critisim being the overuse of duo/trio boss fights: while a lot of the major fights in the game are great, there are a good number of vemot-quality fights like godskin duo (just 2 bosses lazily put together in the same room), and the woman with the 2 dogs. Obviously the game is great overall, but definitely not a 10/10 game (yes I have beaten it multiple times by the way). Dark souls 3 is a 10/10 game, and I am sort of unimpressed at this follow up. I mostly talked about criticisms here, because almost everyone else is too scared to it would seem.
