This movie was mostly brain rot. The villain want in the movie a lot and there was a lot of filler. The best part about it was when we saw vector, El macho, and herb, and I rememberes what a good movie was (well maybe not herb but he's a good character). Aside from the minions movie, it's the weakest in the franchise. They did nothing with the girls, and poppy is an ally instantly after the heist. This movie felt like they just stole a bunch of Disney ideas and turned them into a minion story. There was a bs incredibles filler scene with the minions, the moving sequence is the same one from inside out, and the woman that Lucy burns the hair of (in another filler scene) is literally just Ernesto de la Cruz. Half the movie was just minion bs and the gru stuff isnt much better. Even the best scene in the movie, the end singing scene is ruined when vector does the damn floss. I'm forgetting everything about this movie as we speak and I don't plan on watching it ever again. Also one more quick grievance: at the end of 3 we see dru stealing grus plane thing, and it's assumed that part of four would be them finding dru. But he is literally not even in the movie and they barely address what happened to him. Between that and the villain cameos that don't really make sense it's clear that the creative team did not rewatch the previous movies before this one, which sucks because they all (except minions) are miles ahead of this one.
