Jurassic World: Rebirth did nothing for the overall Jurassic Park franchise. It was like what Jurassic Park III was, but for Jurassic World. Sure, the movie was entertaining, well-acted, and had great visual effects, and embraced the franchise's horror roots, but other than that, it was lacking. The dinosaur terror couldn't save the movie from having no remotely interesting story line. If there even was any, to begin with. Along with that, the replaced the idea of "hybrid" dinosaurs, and replaced them with "mutant" dinosaurs. Which, was arguably the worst thing that this movie did. The D-Rex looks like a T-Rex, combined with a Xenomorph from the Alien franchise. But the other mutant dinosaurs look even worse, and are hard to even look at at times. The characters are bland, and the "big twist" of the movie was never even brought up outside of the trailer, but it still meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. This movie could have never existed, and it wouldn't have meant anything for the Jurassic Park franchise. But the mere fact that it does, just taints the legacy of the franchise for the worse.
