I’m giving this album a 4 instead of a 5 star but that doesn’t mean that I don’t think this album was inspired but it’s not perfect. Scarlet is Doja’s 4th album in her discography and unfortunately she has fallen under the 4th album curse like many popular artists. Like it or not Scarlet was unique, beautiful, creative, and fresh. Unpopular opinion I love ‘Demons’. I think it’s a fun track with witty lyrics that catch the listener off guard. Along with ‘Demons’ I think ‘Paint the Town Red’ was a brilliant use of sampling and made an already amazing song fresh and introduced it to a new audience. ‘Agora Hills’ is a song that is perfect for a music video and is again an amazingly witty song that plays on stereotypes and doesn’t take itself too serious. ‘Skull and Bones’ is an experimental track for Doja and I think that it is a great addition to the album and something new for her and her listeners. ‘Attention’ might be the best song off the album and deserves all the flowers. The production of the song matches the vibe of the lyrics perfectly. There are other good tracks but these are the ones that stand out. Luckily Scarlet 2 Claude, the deluxe version of the album adds great tracks like ‘ACKNOWLEDGE ME’ ‘DISRESPECTFUL’ and ‘URRRGE!!!!!!!!!!! (feat. A$AP Rocky) these three are really good tracks and the others alright. The album has high highs but the lows aren’t too low. I’d give the album a B+

The best idea Carpenter ever made was not signing with Hollywood Records again. This let her be able to get out of the box that Disney had put her in and let her be the artist ( if everyone who knew her) that everyone knew she could be. With incredible vocals and witty lyricism Sabrina really found her footing on this album.

I love this record. It has great originals with just as good covers and an amazing selection of featured artists. This pop/rock record is an amazing direction for Cyrus and is a style that she seems comfortable in and one that suits her voice perfectly. This is a great entry level album for a Cyrus listener

This album has always spoken to me and only gets better the more you listen to it. Truly the Hardest Part by Noah Cyrus is a genuine masterpiece and to those who grew up with country music it is familiar in a way.
