Started watching it and within the first half hour I gave up. It's dark and depressing with incoherent and incomprehensible dialogue fit for a Eugene Ionesco play. This "artsy" kind of film is no longer of interest to me. It is boring and self-absorbed with the emphasis on the dark and depressing side of life to the complete exclusion of any light and hope.

Excellent series with essential messages, such as the importance of respect for the Great Mother archetype and the Divine Feminine and understanding the impact of the positive Father vs. the negative Father; the necessity of union of the opposites. or, Coniunctio, as stated in Jungian psychology terms; and the symbolism of the tree of life, the spiral, the cave, and so much more. As a Jungian, I loved this Turkish series!

This is a film for our times: no morality, no principles, no spirituality, no insights, no psychological maturity, but lots of sex, vanity, narcissism, shallow and superficial people, psychopathology, violence, ennui, and just plain awfulness. I'll stick with films like Dead Poet's Society, Shawshank Redemption, Last of the Mohicans, The Lives of Others, The Red Shoes, Rashomon, Rear Window...you get the picture.
