Absolutely loved the first book in the trilogy, couldn't put it down. The second book I was like "hmm ok I can sort of get on board with it" but this one is so dumb for multiple reasons:
1) Pip has lost all her sanity. It goes beyond what is experienced by PTSD. Shes instead been replaced by this unrecognisable person with absolutely grasp on reality and is a little psycho.
2) the whole "not sweat but Stanley's blood" got tiring very quickly. Extremely overused. We get it.
3) It was literally self defence. Kill or be killed. But no, the completely rational Pip we met in book 1 has been replaced by someone who has lost all common sense. Why claim self defence when you can go to all the stress and trouble of framing someone when it might not actually work? Makes total sense... not!
I had to skip chapters because it was infuriating me so much.
Save yourself a few days and read something else.
