Game was good in beta - then the company decided to screw over all their old players and new players with micro transactions. Removed many of the old items players had saved after they stated all items would transfer over (xp boosts, skins, currency) (more lies). Wouldn’t be surprised if they re-opened this game for 3 months to rob everyone blind and then cancel the game. Zero loyalty - would not support this company. Synopsis: tread lightly buying anything and read between the lines with any updates - as they’ve pretty much been deceptive about every aspect of this game since the beta.

I read almost all the reviews before buying (1 stars and 5 stars) - mainly because the score is at a 2.6 which is super low tbh. I think both are fair in what they’re saying. The lag happens sometimes - your Pokémon will look like it’s glitching a bit when it’s in overworld and sometimes when battling the camera is off centered. But overall I definitely think it should be scored higher it’s a fun game. I’ve played since Pokémon Blue version all the way to this. The game is open world - in the sense that after the beginning intro you can go pretty much anywhere you want to explore and do any gym in whatever manner you choose. The wild Pokémon are all overworld so you can battle what you want or just full sprint to your objective. I think this game is fun definitely worth the money, I’m having a fun time with it and like the overall vibe of the game letting me choose what I want to do. The new Pokémon are cool as well. If you’re on the fence about it like I was, I’d say go for it, it’s been fun for me and I’m glad I bought it. (But yes there is a little bit of lag but tbh it’s not nearly as terrible as people are making it seem).

Was debating getting this game - I play a variety of games: call of duty, fighting games, dark souls series, Pokémon, etc. Would highly recommend this game easily 9/10 worth the purchase. Great story line, really pulls you in and the overall atmosphere is so relaxing. The overall game was decently long, I played on the hardest difficult (purely to get the platinum trophy on ps5) so that definitely made it take longer. However, if you’re a more casual gamer, the difficulty/learning curve is great not too hard to learn everything. Overall if you’re debating getting it I would say it’s a great game and I have no regrets buying it.
