Last night May 21st there was a question "what colour is the wire in a plug which melts when the current drawn is excessive. The answer was fuse. The standard wire colouring in a plug is brown = live blue = nuteral and green/yellow = earth. How can anyone see the colour of the wire in the fuse in a normal plug when the fuse is not clear glass. Most fusewires are a silver colour when you can see through the glass. This was a stupid question. The question should have been "what is the safety device in a modern 3 pin plug"
