I read this book as part of a school assignment to learn about the structure of a fantasy novel. I personally love fantasy books and was extremely excited to start reading this, I'm very disappointed. Jed spends so long doing nothing, he does a bunch of random stuff that don't contribute at all to his end goal. The way Ursula K. Le Guin writes as well annoys me. It gives description of things I don't need to know and doesn't give any description for what I want. When Jed encounters the dragon it doesn't give me any idea what it looks like except that its big. Such a disappointment, don't read this.
