Super 30 is a nice attempt by director Vikas Bahl to highlight a big social issue of the society. This film is based on the true story of Anand Kumar who is an Indian Mathematician runs a free IIT coaching class for those students who are financially poor.In this film Hrithik Roshan played the role of Anand Kumar, he pulls off a solid performance essaying Anand Kumar, capturing his character’s sincerely and determination very well. The film is about the transformative power of education. There is drama, emotion, tragedy, struggle. The movie starts with being a post office clerk’s son, Anand Kumar studied in hindi medium government school where he reclaimed his deep interest in mathematics. During graduation, he submitted papers on Number Theory. Although Anand got admission to Cambridge University but could not pursue studies there because of his father’s death and his monetary condition. Since Patna library did not have foreign jounals, for his own study, he used to travel every weekend on a six hour train journey to Varanasi. He started free coaching for poor students in Bihar in the mid-90s and establishes a new institute for poor students and make them finally IITIANS.
This is really a great story of a man who decided the poor can be privileged if educated. That a king's son need not be a king.
In my opinion this movie was a fantastic gift to the bollywood industry and I specially recommended to watch this movie.
