Gunnar Haun (Dominant Bungus)

I was looking forward to this movie the entire summer and I was very disappointed in my first viewing of the film. I then spent several hours digesting and thinking about what I had just watched. The opening of the film was the most triggering for me because it wasn't even 10 minutes into the film and they had killed almost 10 main characters!!! (Javelin, Mongal, Captain Boomerang, T.D.K. , Blackguard, Savant.) Why bring in big name actors such as Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, and Jai Courtney if your only going to treat them as disposable characters!!! Other than that one aspect, I felt like the movie was semi-decent.

This movie needs to stop getting flack for changing the genders of the original characters!! I mean, damn! Just because we have women with the proton packs doesn't mean the movie is bad! All of you sexists out there can go screw off and eat my waste!!! Compared to the original, this movie doesn't surpass the culture classic but still. It was a great attempt at a reboot. The only notes I have on this film is that they needed to base this movie in the late 20th century like the original was. Having it based in the present-day doesn't have the same vibe as the original. This movie was enjoyable and the casting was a good decision.

This movie cannot be described in words other than "awesome" or "breathtaking." I was completely amazed by this movie's plot and storyline. It also grabs you and takes you for a ride. The acting was magnificent. This movie brought a piece of my childhood back to me that I felt was gone until I saw this movie 3 times! This movie also caught emotions in an intense manner. This is a must-watch if you are a fan of Dreamworks and their works like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train your Dragon, and Madagascar. 5 stars and hoping somehow they make an amazing sequel to follow this story!

I loved how the movie stuck to the lore! It has an amazing storyline and an amazing cast. People say that it sucks because it's not Ron Pearlman as "Big Red", and I call that bull. David Harbour played the role extremely well!! Mila Jovovich and the other cast members played their parts very well too. The only thing about it that was disappointing about it that there was swearing in almost every other sentence. In conclusion, this movie definitely doesn't deserve the lashing it has received. It is an amazing storyline and packed with action and adventure.
