Regardless of your political ideology this film clearly shows the influence of social media engineering and how our personal "data" is becoming not just the new currency of the tech economy but also the personal playground of a new generation of technocrats. Of special interest to me was the ambivalence of Zuckerberg to how his economic juggernaut was (and is) being highjacked by the highest bidder. I also have to say for those of you who are of the impression this a left-wing conspiracy docudrama then how to do you explain Cambridge Analytica's influence globally and not just domestically. They were out prove the point that buying and using our own data was a social experiment that not could only be "weaponized"by the buyer (or their surrogates) but that it could also be proven scientifically (data science that is) to be effective. In the end the message should be clear.... ...USE YOUR BRAINS....and not just be lemmings to social media.. NO MATTER WHO THE SOURCE OF POSTS MAY BE. We have entered a new reality....be vigilant....be cautious....be informed. There actually ARE truths in this world that are undeniable.....not simply ideas and spin.
