The intended message was good, but the conveyance wasn't. The movie is supposed to be a "comedy" but even as a Aussie local myself, having been raised in a small community town, find the "humour" lacklustre. Only once did I laugh, during the imaginary footy scene. The whole message is a thinly disguised dig at racism and xenophobia. I can say so much more, but I'll leave it at this. Also, I don't recommend watching this movie and then writing an analysis essay about it for English Class, it kinda sucks.
