Don't be mistaken by the short-sighted reviews that misunderstand this show as little more than a family drama with a sci-fi backdrop. To be sure, it IS human drama--compelling, rich, complex, messy, redemptive human drama. But make no mistake, every character's arc is literally propelled by the steady, menacing undercurrent of an alien invasion and humanity's inevitable clash with the visitors. If you're a fan of sci-fi, tune in and catch this slow-burn that builds up to some genuine "Whoa!" moments. These stories and their players are carefully, compassionately, and compellingly written, and you will be doing yourself and the series a disservice by not putting Invasion at the top of your streaming queue.
