Diljit hit it out of the park with this one..as Amar singh chamkila. Showcasing and ordinary and struggled upbringing with a backward background.. And how he used his gift fused with thr environment he lives in..Portraying and reflecting what the public is used to and yearns for..The taste of his songs which are taboo but still everyone loves to groove on, in all good faith though.. He's come so far with so much dedication and sheer honesty at his craft which he dearly loves. Only tapping onto the demand of the public without giving much thought about the backlash or consequences from nay sayers and jealous contemporaries.. Living one life, at its peak and it's best fearlessly with his love for his music and entertaining people around him and thr audience dearly. Parineeti chopra has also given a beautiful performance as his wife and duet partner in every scene from a shy performer to his shadow that supports him at all situations right from the front..being his best company..Parineeti only needs good direction and script and she'll do wonders. A movie hitting all right notes as shown comparing to small snippets of original artists as well. When you bring Imtiaz ali + AR rahman + Mohit Chauhan + Kailash kher + Arijit singh... Music is bound to take a beautiful shape.. From the intense "Ishq mitaye" to soulful and tear jerking "mujhe vida karo" by Arijit Singh..the movie is wholesome and questions thr price you pay for living your dream fearlessly yet owing it all to the love received with gratitude. Shout out to all actors which genuinely has a beautiful casting. I Won't reveal anything further but do experience the movie without any expectations and blank mind. You'll leave with great satisfaction after a long time for an Imtiaz ali film. PS : The ending of the film as it nears and ends on such a artistic note..with soulful Arijit Singh melody...
