I feel this movie was fairly entertaining; It was campy, it was intriguingly exaggerated in a lot of ways that made it visually amusing and the music was fairly ear catching. This is not meant to be a movie for any form of Aficionado or Connoisseur for Musicals or Opera; it's meant to be a movie that has some digestible drama and thrill with some cartoonish levels of gore and polarizing visuals with real life and the occasional comic book style interludes to entertain to a wider audience. It strikes for a middle ground to a bit of everyone and while some may feel disappointed by being horribly told what some viewed the movie as If it were some form of greater masterpiece and let their expectations get the best of them. I'd say If you're somewhere of the age of 15-21, maybe 22? You'll find an interest in this movie If you have appreciation for Music or Art. This was originally adapted from an actual theatrical play If I recall as well; so that may be your fancy If this movie is not. My only take away from this movie personally would have to be some of the actual story in how it was written in regards to the movie; but I have to leave the blame to it being molded into something It originally wasn't and thus removing some of what was a part of the original production. The cast that sang and acted for the movie did a fantastic job with what they were given and It is a great introduction to those music/musical forms for budding interests of more inexperienced viewers.
