Naruto is a good show, but it does have many many flaws.
1) Pacing is terrible. They stare at each other for 5 minutes, there is an insane number of flashbacks, fillers fillers fillers, fillers within canon arcs, canon arcs are like 200+ episodes, etc. Naruto shippuden is pretty much unwatchable without a guide. Even with a guide, there is still a ton of flashbacks and just bad pacing
2) Naruto Uzumaki is basically treated like Jesus Christ in Shippuden. This guy is literally changing the minds of people who have committed Adolf Hitler level of atrocities by simply talking to them for 30 minutes. Hell, even Jesus himself wasn't capable of that.
and the biggest flaw that narutards pretend doesn't exist:
3) Naruto is privileged. This guy is no underdog. He is the son of the fourth hokage, the reincarnation of the first hokage, reincarnation of a literal demi-god, he is apart of strong clans which gives him good blood and abilities, there have been prophecies about him achieving greatness from way before he was born, and he has the nine tails fox which is the most powerful being on earth. The only person more privileged is his damn son, Boruto, who was given a curse mark that gave him otsutsuki (god) powers, jougan given to him by an otsutsuki, and him being prophesied by otsutsuki's to achieve something big.
Honestly, Part 1 was special because we just thought Naruto was some random kid, the son of nobodies, who was simply unlucky to be within the vicinities when the fourth desperately needed to seal the nine tails. He was special because it was nice to see someone who was just some random hated kid gradually going up the ranks and being respected. The reveal that he was the fourth's son was beyond retarded. And that wasn't enough for kishimoto, he also had to be the reincarnation of a literal demi god. Just insane.
If Naruto didn't have any of those privileges, he would've achieved nothing. He'd be as strong as Kiba, and not demi-god level. Heck, Naruto's impulsiveness and overconfidence would've killed him in Part 1, because he wouldn't have the nine tails to save him from sticky situations. I think he would've been dead by the Zabuza arc (first arc) if it weren't for the nine tails, not even joking.
