Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
McBeth. William Shakespeare.
As a Republican, I am relieved to hear from physicians, psychologists, and influential Republicans that they too see Donald Trump as a threat to our Republic. From his winning the South Carolina primary in 2016, until he flew out of Washington in January 2020, I have been filled with dread about the damage he would do to our country. Although I am only a layperson, years ago, while watching his many television appearances, I suspected he was a malignant narcissist. After rereading the criteria in the DSM V, and watching his behavior for four years, I am convinced that this diagnosis is accurate and can not understand why so many people will not admit that “the Emperor wears no clothes”. This documentary, impresses me with its clear calm presentation of the criteria for malignant narcissism, how Donald Trump’s behavior fits that criteria, and why that is dangerous for us as a nation.
While the current president is a poor leader, and I do not agree with many of his choices, with all his political faults, at least he understands the Constitution of the United States, and will defend and protect the Republic. Having seen Donald Trump refuse to support the continuity of our government, and having seen him incite a riot in which people died, his inability to protect and defend, due to his self interest is clear.
If you are a supporter of his, regardless of party affiliation, gender, race, creed etc., please try watching this in the framework of what is best for our country; the people deserve better.
