I was SO excited for this movie. I never see movies in theaters, but I thought this one would be one I shouldn’t pass up. I LOVE Beetlejuice. As for Beetlejuice 2, not so much. It was an okay, if somewhat disappointing, movie. It was nowhere near as good as the original. Nothing happened for the first hour or more and then the ending was very rushed. So many scenes were pointless. Beetlejuice's ex wife was in the movie for maybe 5 minutes total and then nothing really even happened with her. It was like they didn’t really have much of a plan for the plot of the movie, so they just threw a bunch of stuff together. It wasn’t terrible, but it’s just another movie to add to the list of sequels I’ve watched once and never cared to see again. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't have paid to see it in theaters. I would have waited and found it free somewhere. Definitely wasn’t worth the $40 I paid for 2 tickets plus snacks.
