All I can say is it's like a mediocre episode of Black Mirror. At first, I was excited and then bored. I kept hoping that the story would pick up after reaching their destination but as we all know... it did not. It felt possibly rushed or maybe like it's intended to be a cliffhanger for a third book into the series but it failed at that. If there is to be a third I will read it, but based on his previous work To Sleep in a Sea of Stars (which is a good read), not whatever this was.
