Every time I think about this movie, I have to stop for a moment and relive the most emotional scenes. No movie has lingered in my mind for so long as Summer of 85 has. It's not that I can't watch it again because I already have. It's that I don't know if I can bring myself to watch it again. For a solid few hours afterwards, it's all I could think about, and even now a few months on, I imagine alternate endings. It leaves no questions unanswered, and despite being fiction, it tells you a lot about the realities of life.
