I don't know. Moseley's numerous characters and twisted plots were a challenge enough to follow in the original series. This book was written after that series (I think - I haven't really researched this), and inserted into it. That's a good idea - more Easy Rawlins novels would be very welcome. But, maybe it's just me, but Moseley's writing has gotten SO complicated that I just don't feel up to doing the work any more. After a couple of chapters of Blood Grove I just gave up. It'll be back to Devil in a Blue Dress for me.
